Simbhu and Mallika rocks in Oasthi


Osthi, Tamil remake of the Hindi blockbuster Dabangg. The Hindhi Original had a blast at the box-office becoming the biggest entertainer of the year, simbu too giving the Tamil counterpart his all to make osthi as successful as Dabangg was in hindhi.

Silambarasan and Dharani have managed to rope in Mallika Sherawat for the item song, famously done by Malaika Sherawat in the Hindi version. And the song, sung by LR Eswari and STR’s dad TR, has already proven to be a hit with it repeatedly being broadcast in radio.

The entire fans was charged up with the item song rendered by LR Easwari and T Rajendar being played at the background for which the stars danced. The item track will be a treat for your eyes, when seen Mallika Sherawat moving her hips on-screen. The moment you play the much-hyped, ‘Kalasala’, it invites you to shake your legs.

Aadhi, Pasupathy and Dhanshika in Vasanthabalan's Aravan


Expectations are high on director Vasanthabalan’s Aravan. The period flick that features Aadhi, Pasupathy and Dhanshika in the lead roles is all complete and details about its release are kept under wraps. 

Sources say the movie that has music by Karthik has come good. They add plans are on to release it this December itself. Vasanthabalan is planning to kick off unique ways to promote the movie. 
The movie produced by T Siva of Amma Creations is one of the bog-budgeted movie and expectations are soaring high.

Vijay sing again for G.V.Prakah Movie

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s voice is adored by his fans , many songs from his earlier movies proved to be hit songs because of his voice . He crooned for Vadi Vadi for Sachin which was a instant hit there after he has stopped taking up singing assignments.

But the latest we hear is that , G.V.Prakash is pretty sure that he will make our Ilayathalapathy Vijay again in a movie which will be directed by A.L.Vijay. Adding more , It is said that the commericial pot boiler will explore other dimensions of Vijay . This movie will kick start when the duo finishes their current assignments.

Tamil Actors doing double role in coming movies

Here are some movies which we hear the lead stars are doing a double role.

Vikram – It is said the Vikram will be seen in dual roles in Thandavam. The film is to be directed by AL Vijay and it is an action entertainer with all the commercial elements.

Karthi – There is a talk that we will get to see two Karthis in Saguni. Directed by debut director Shankar Dayal, this film has Praneetha playing Karthi’s pair. Saguni is said to be a political thriller.

Surya – Rumors are strong that Suriya is doing a double role in Matraan, directed by KV Anand. The cinematographer-turned-director is directing this film with Kajal Agarwal playing Surya’s leading lady 

Tamil Movie 'Kanchana' is planning to remake in Kannada

'Kanchana' is going places, literally. Rama Narayanan, who produced the Lawrence Raghavendra film in Tamil, is planning to remake it in Kannada. The veteran has confirmed that plans are also on to start the Hindi version of the eerie-comedy thriller soon.

"I had directed as many as 15 films in Kannada so far. Hence I have decided to produce and direct Kanchana in Sandalwood. Upendra is playing the lead role, while Lakshmi Rai is repeating what she did in Tamil," says the former president of Tamil Film Producers Council.
Uma Shree has been roped in to play Kovai Sarala's role, while Devadharshini will be replaced by Shruthi. It is said that the transgender character played by Sarath Kumar in the Tamil original will be done in Kannada by a popular actor there.

"Kanchana is a great success in both Tamil and Telugu. So Rama Narayanan wants to continue the success journey in other languages too. He will play a crucial role in the movie's Hindi remake also," sources say. Besides playing the lead role, Lawrence Raghavendra wielded the megaphone for the Tamil version.

Will Sameera Reddy sharing screen space with Vijay?

Gautham Vasudev Menon, even as busy filming his first trilingual venture 'Neethane En Ponvasantham', seems to have zeroed in on the heroine for 'Yohan Adhyayam Ondru', his maiden film with Vijay. If sources are to be believed, Gautham's 'favourite actress' Sameera Reddy would share the screen space with the Ilayathalapathy in this big-budget venture, which is set to hit the floors by early 2012. "But an announcement is kept under wraps since Gautham wants to complete Neethane En Ponvasantham, before shifting focus to Yohan Adhyayam Ondru. Vijay too is happy to have Sameera on board," sources say. Sameera was the leading lady of two of Gautham's earlier movies- 'Varanam Aayiram' and 'Nadunisi Naaygal'. In an interview earlier, the actress mentioned that she would act in a film without even listening to the script, if it is directed by Gautham.

Vikram's 10 looks in "Rajapattai" Movie Song


Chiyaan Vikram will be seen in his best in 'Rajapattai', as the actor will be seen in nearly 10 looks in just one song in this film directed by Suseenthiran and produced by Prasad V Potluri of PVP Cinema.

"A song composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja required Vikram to appear in many get-ups. So the actor and director sat with their team and worked out various looks, which were totally new to Kollywood. The particular song will be a highlight of Rajapattai," sources say.The film is taking shape fast and is currently in its last schedule of shooting. "Rajapattai will be a treat to my fans, who would love playing me a mass hero role. After a very long gap I am doing such a character and I am thrilled to see the reaction," says the actor.Deeksha Seth is playing Vikram's heroine while veteran Telugu director K Vishwanath is playing the role of his grandfather. "The film is about a stunt artiste who is forced to take the law in his hands, after getting upset about atrocities in the society," sources say

Shruthi Hassan hot perfomance in 7am Arivu

The grapevine has it that her character is the pivot around which the Suriya film revolves. Suriya and Shruti, the new romantic pair will sizzle on screen with their chemistry. There are unconfirmed reports that Shruti has sung a song in the film which has music by Harris Jayaraj.

Remember Shruti had earlier sung the chartbuster Adiye Kolluthe for Harris in Vaaranam Aayiram? Recently Shruthi wore a traditional saree for 7am Arivu. Everybody on the sets just could not stop gaping in admiration, as she looked stunning and beautiful. Her costumes in the film will give her an all new look.

Meanwhile stories have appeared in Mumbai press that Shruti and Siddharth are “living together to know each other better.”  When contacted Shruti told tkada “I’m a very private person when it comes to my personal life. I have never discussed it with the media and I hope everyone will respect it”

TFPC-Tamil Film Producers Council banned actress Ileana

Tamil Film Producers Council Banned Actress IleanaIs leading south Indian actress Ileana going to get banned by the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) Ileana who had a few years back done KD in Tamil, had become a big heroine in Tollywood but avoided Kollywood like a plague.

After many unsuccessful attempts she was to be re-launched in Tamil with Vikram’s Vijay directed Deiva Thiru Magal. But the actress at the last minute walked out and was replaced by Amala Paul. She did not want to play the role of a married woman with a child in the film.

The producer of Deiva Thirumagal Mogan Natarajan has another story to tell. He says she took an advance of Rs 36 lakhs and never cared to return it.

Mogan in an interview to a newspaper has said that she had given the same dates to do Shankar’s Nanban, where she is playing Vijay’s heroine.

The peeved producer also added that Ileana was evasive about repaying his signing amount. The latest we hear is that Mogan Natarajan a veteran producer will be approaching TFPC (Tamil Film Producers Council) to issue a red card. Meanwhile,  Ileana has fallen foul of Telugu producers after she stayed away from the promotions of her NTR film Shakthi.

Swathi as Slum Girl in Porali

Subramaniapuram’ fame Swathi, who is back in Tamil cinema with ‘Porali’ directed by Samuthirakani, is playing a slum dweller in the film. “It is yet another meaty role for her,” according to unit sources.

“Since she has to speak pucca local Tamil, the Telugu girl is learning the Chennai language. Her character will be very bubbly and will make the audience to laugh out loud,” they add.

‘Porali’, produced by Sasikumar, revolves around five protagonists. “The director has finalised four of them (Sasikumar, Swathi, ‘Allari’ Naresh and Vasundhara) and a hunt is one for the fifth.”

The film, like the previous movies of Sasikumar and Samuthirakani, will have a right mixture of humour, sentiment and action. “The shooting will be completed in 80 days,” says the director.

The protest group will be staging protests and asking for the offending scene to be removed from the film 100%.
