"I love each and every moment I spend with him," says Priyamani

Priyamani's world is changed a lot these days, thanks to the arrival of a new 'man'. And it is none other than Mocha, her pet dog. "Mocha is so cute and smart. I love each and every moment I spend with him," says the dusky beauty.

It was the actress's longtime wish to have a dog at home. "But my dad was against to this. After much perusal and many years, he finally allowed me to keep a pet at home. And that's Mocha," the Muthazhagu of 'Paruthiveeran' says.

Priyamani however has a regret too. That she has to miss Mocha whenever she stays away from home for shoot. "The days I am not with Mocha are painful to me. But what to do? I have no other option," she says.

On not regularly acting in Tamil films, she says, "Because I have offers from other languages and I have to honour them too." Priyamani is currently busy shooting for Telugu and Kannada films, shutting between Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Either Salman Khan or Akshay Kumar to do the remake of a yesteryear Kamal Hassan classic

If the reports are to be believed, then Ulaka Naayakan Kamal Hassan's 1990 hit Tamil comedy film 'Michael Madana Kama Rajan' is now all set to be remade into Bollywood. This Tamil film 'Michael Madana Kama Rajan' is a story about quadruplets - Michael, Madhana, Kama and Rajan and all were played by Kamal Haasan. The movie is directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao while Kamal had also written and produced it.

Priyadarshan, who himself is an expert in remaking films from South into Bollywood has always planned to remake this film in Hindi with his mentor Akshay Kumar playing all the four lead roles. Now it's also hearing that the lady director of Bollywood, Farah Khan also is planning the same, but the only change will be that instead of Akshay Kumar, it will be Salman Khan in the lead roles.

Both Priyadarshan and Farah Khan are trying their best to acquire the rights of this yesteryear Tamil film from it's producer, none other than the Kamal Hassan himself. Let's wait and see, among these two who will emerge as a winner and also for the new version of this popular comedy film with either Akshay Kumar or Salman Khan portraying all the four leading characters in this film.

Amy Jackson to debut in Malayalam through Dileep film Spanish Masala

 The latest to hear from the Malayalam film industry is that the 'Madarasipattanam' fame Amy Jackson is going to make her debut in Malayalam through Lal Jose's new film. It was earlier reported that Lal Jose is in a look out for a spanish lady to play the heroine in his new Malayalam movie Spanish Masala.

Now it is confirmed that, instead of a Spanish lady, this London based model and actress Amy Jackson will essay that role. It was reported that director Lal Jose had conducted a search in Spain to find a girl suitable to play the lead, but finally zeroed in on Amy Jackson who is currently doing Gautham Menon's VTV remake in Hindi.​

The story of this new film Spanish Masala is all about a Malayalee immigrant in Spain who falls in love with a Spanish girl. Dileep and Kunchacko Bobban are the two male leads in the film. This film is being scripted by Benny P Naayarambalam and produced by Naushad under the banner of Big Screen Productions.

Sanjana replaced Reema Sen in new Malayalam movie 'The King & The Commisioner'

We have earlier reported that Bollywood Beauty Reema Sen will make her debut appearance in Malayalam through the hot and happening film of now a days, The King & The Commissioner. But if the current reports are to be believed then instead of Reema Sen, the producers have signed Kannada actress Sanjana to do the role of a fearless lady cop.

According to some of the insiders from the Malayalam film industry, it is stated that since the film is about "macho men and political conspiracies", there is no need of songs or a heroine and hence the makers felt it that why should they sign a glam girl like Reema Sen, when there are no songs or romance? Sanjana had earlier done a very glamorous role in Mohanlal's yet to be completed Rosshan Andrew's Casanova.

This new malayalam movie The King & The Commisioner will bring back the powerful Joseph Alex IAS from the movie The King and Bharathchandran IPS from the movie The Commisoner. As in the original, this new film will also feature both Megastar Mammootty and Action hero Suresh Gopi in those respective roles.

This new Malayalam film, scripted by Renji Panicker and directed by Shaji Kailas is being produced by Anto Joseph and will reach the theaters by this August 30th.

Priya Vajpai debute in Malayalam Movie

Yet another non Malayali beauty is all set to make her debut in the Malayalam film industry. This time, it's Piaa Bajpai who shot to fame through her roles in the movies like 'Poi Solla Porom', 'Goa' and the recently released hit film 'Ko'. Her chirpy character as Saro and positive attitude in K V Anand's 'Ko' made her one of the hottest properties in the film world.

Piaa Bajpai, a popular figure in the field through her ads as well as movies will debut in Malayalam through the film 'Masters', that will have Bigstar Prithviraj in the lead. The film also marks the Malayalam debut of our 'Subramaniapuram' actor, Sasikumar who will play Prithviraj's classmate in this film. "Rathinirvedham 2" successfully running on Kerala theaters

New Malayalam release Rathinirvedham can now be termed as a super hit. Menaka Sureshkumar produced Revathy Kalaamandhir's TK Rajeevkumar directed Rathinirvedham is a remake of Padmarajan-Bharathan 1978 classic by the same name.

It should be noted that this new Malayalam movie Rathinirvedham, which was made on a cost of approximately Rs 1.55 Cr has netted in around Rs 2 Cr (from various rights) even before the release of the film. The television rights of the film was sold before release for Rs 1.50 Cr, overseas, India domestic and DVD/CD rights went for another Rs 50 lakhs.

This new film Rathinirvedham released on June 16, 2011 in 70 screens took an extraordinary opening and collected a whopping Rs 1.15 Cr as distributors share from 70 screens in its first week. As a result of this, it turns out to be a new record that this new Rathinirvedham is now the film that turned 100 % profitable for its producer in the shortest number of days from its release.

This new film Rathinirvedham which has Shwetha Menon playing the iconic Rathi Chechi (Jayabharathi's role in the original) is expected to make a total share of approximately Rs 2.50 Cr during its theatrical run. Producer Suresh Kumar's plan to remake the yesteryear classic Rathinirvedham after a long gap of about 33 years has turned out to be gold.

Amala Paul Signed Malayalam Film Indian Rupee Opposite PrithvirajAmala Paul, the heroine who made waves in Kollywood with her Mynaa, is now going back to her roots in Malayalam films. She is going to play heroine opposite Prithviraj in the Malayalam film titled Indian Rupee directed by Renjith.

Malayalam Director Venu died

Malayalam Cinema's first Multi Starrer movie maker Director Venu is now no more with us. Venu was suffering from Parkinson disease and died on 25th May in his residence at Shenoi Nagar at Chennai.

 Thrissur Purunattkara Makazhi Madhavan Kurup and Pattathil Amminiamma's son Venu came to the world of cinema with the Marryland Studio. Venu had directed approximately 32 movies in his career and produced Seven movies including "Virunnukari". 1967 released his first movie "Udyogastha" became a huge hit. Venu's Directorial venture movie "CID Nazir" make Prem Nazir a CID Official, which resulted into many movies with Nityaharitha Nayakan Prem Nazir in Venu's life.

Vidhubala and Jayabharati are Venu's contribution to the cinema world. Venu said to be  started the trend of Investigative stories in Malayalam Cinema. "Prethangalude Thazvara", "Taxikar", "Viruthan Shanku" are his major movies. First movie's success brought Venu to Production field with the banner of Anupama. In 2005, Kerala Film Critics Association bestowed him with the Award for his contribution to the Malayalam Cinema. After the gap of 12 years, On the request of Jagathy Sreekumar and Sreenivasan, Venu directed a movie named "Parashala Pachan, Payanoor Paramu" in 1999. His last movie was "Parinamam" as director, starring Nadumudi Venu, Kaviyoor Ponamma, Madambu Kunjukuttan, Ashokan, Archana and Shalu Menon.

Venu had claimed that his movie "Udyogastha" was first multi starrer in malayalam cinema featuring Satyan, Prem Nazir, Ummar, Sharada, Sheela and others. He was survived by wife, daughter and a son. His body will be cremated at Cheruthurthi on the sides of Bharathapuzha.
